My husband and I were incredibly lucky to meet Thom almost ten years ago when we first moved to Portland. As first-time homebuyers we had plenty of ideas, but very little knowledge about how and where to find the right home. Thom’s reputation for honesty, listening to and tailoring homes to exactly what people are looking for were the biggest reasons we chose to go with him.
We both work for Alaska Airlines, with work schedules that are always changing our availability when it came to looking for a home. Thom was extremely patient with us, showing dozens of options over a period of about four months. That's something we always valued about Thom, his ability to make time for us, even when we were available to view homes on specific days and times…Thom always made the time. When we would ask call or text Thom a question, there was always a response within a half an hour. When it came time to go look at a home, Thom's always already waiting for us at the home, with a printout of information and answers to any questions that we might have as we walked through. If ever we had a question and he didn’t know the answer, he would find it.
During that four-month period, we never felt forced to make an offer. When we finally found the "one", Thom met us at 9am to walk through the home, wrote up and submitted an offer by 2pm, and then three hours later when the offer was accepted started walking us through every next step. His knowledge and experience with home repairs/renovations really helped to take the pressure off us when it came most importantly going through the home inspection, negotiations and closing process.
Looking back at that day, the offer, the negotiations, home inspections, repair request list, helping communicate with the lenders, getting us to closing on our home, we realized we could not have done this alone. Walking into our home that first day, in that moment, we deeply understood the importance of having a great realtor and considered ourselves lucky to have Thom.
We love our home, and so happy to fulfill this dream, thanks to Thom’s efforts. We’re very grateful to him. We would recommend Thom to anyone who wants a realtor who takes them seriously, cares that you get exactly what you’re looking for and will patiently help your home. Thom did a great job helping me find a place! When I expressed interest in this condo, he was over there in just over a half hour showing it to me on FaceTime. It is a half hour from his office, so that is pretty fast.
Then he gave me great advice on my offer, which saved me money.
Finally he recommended an excellent inspector who was very thorough and went above and beyond. I flew in for the inspection, and he spent much more time than most inspectors do on a condo.

When I was young, I was fascinated with castles. My first job after college was at a Real Estate company. When I got my Real Estate License in 2011, it was a perfect fit. I am a native Oregonian; my family has been here since the 1840’s. I grew up in Oregon City, but now call Gresham home. I’ve got two rambunctious puppies that keep me company and terrorize the squirrels and raccoons that wander past my back yard.
I am licensed as a Principal Broker in Oregon at RE/MAX Select. In Washington, I’m licensed as a Real Estate Broker and hang my hat at RE/MAX Riverside.
